How do I setup SMS notifications for my Shopify store?

Setting up is simple: 1) Install the app from Shopify App Store, 2) Connect your SMS gateway (Twilio, Plivo, etc.) or use our built-in credits, 3) Customize your message templates, 4) Enable the notifications you want. The entire process takes about 5 minutes.

What SMS gateways are supported?

We support 100+ SMS gateways including Twilio, Plivo, Vonage (Nexmo), MessageBird, Clickatell, Sinch, Infobip, AWS SNS, MSG91, Gupshup, Textlocal, and many more. You can also use custom gateways with our HTTP API integration.

Can I send both SMS and WhatsApp notifications?

Yes! Alintro supports both SMS and WhatsApp notifications. With our Smart Fallback feature (Growth plan), messages are sent via WhatsApp first, and if delivery fails, automatically fall back to SMS.

How does abandoned cart SMS recovery work?

When a customer adds items to cart but doesn't complete checkout, Alintro automatically sends a reminder SMS after your configured delay (e.g., 1 hour, 24 hours). You can customize the message and include a direct link back to their cart.

Can admins receive notifications for new orders?

Yes! Staff Alerts feature lets you notify store admins and team members via SMS when new orders are placed, orders are cancelled, or inventory runs low. Available on Pro plan and above.

What is a custom SMS gateway and how do I set it up?

A custom SMS gateway lets you use your own SMS provider instead of our built-in credits. Simply enter your gateway's API URL, authentication credentials, and configure the message format. We provide setup guides for all major gateways.

Is there a free plan available?

Yes! Our Free plan includes 50 notifications per month, all notification types, abandoned cart recovery, and 1 gateway connection. It's perfect for testing or small stores.

How are notifications counted?

Each message sent counts as 1 notification, regardless of whether it's SMS or WhatsApp. A typical order uses 3-4 notifications (confirmation, shipped, delivered). You'll be notified when approaching your limit.
