No — once registered with Cloud API, the number is permanently tied to the API and cannot be used in the app.

WhatsApp Cloud API is run by Meta. It's the cheapest way to send WhatsApp at scale and the recommended route for brands sending more than 1,000 conversations/month. Alintro is a direct Cloud API integration — no BSP markup.

Pricing: Meta charges per conversation (not per message): ~$0.004 India utility, $0.0088 US utility, free for customer-initiated service conversations. First 1,000 conversations/month are free.

What you need from WhatsApp Meta Cloud API

WhatsApp Business Account ID (WABA ID)
Facebook Business Manager → WhatsApp Accounts
Phone Number ID
Same place — each verified phone has its own ID
Permanent Access Token
Business Manager → System Users → generate a token with `whatsapp_business_messaging` + `whatsapp_business_management` scopes
App ID (optional)
Needed if you register templates via API

Step-by-step

Create a Meta Business Account
business.facebook.com → create account → verify the business (passport / utility bill / legal docs).

Create a WhatsApp Business App
developers.facebook.com → My Apps → Create App → Business → add WhatsApp product.

Add a phone number
WhatsApp → API Setup → Add phone number. Verify via SMS / call. This becomes your sender — it cannot be used on the regular WhatsApp app anymore.

Generate a permanent token
Business Manager → System Users → Create system user → Add assets → Generate token with the two scopes above. Copy it — shown only once.

Paste credentials into Alintro
Gateways → Add → WhatsApp Meta Cloud API. Paste WABA ID, Phone Number ID, Token. Test.

Register message templates
Templates must be pre-approved by Meta. In Alintro, go to Templates → New → pick category (Marketing / Utility / Authentication). Submission takes ~5 min.
